A passion for understanding nature

Due to global warming, environmental changes are accelerating, and organisms are more frequently exposed to various stresses.

Living organisms that cannot avoid from stress conditions (e.g., plants, microorganisms) adjust their metabolisms to adapt to environmental changes, and long-term exposure to stress could change their genome.

Our lab deals with photosynthetic microalgae, and is interested in understanding how they cope with and adapt to environmental stresses. Based on those knowledge, we aim to utilize their stress response/adaptation mechanisms for industrial applications.

미세조류의 스트레스 반응/적응 메커니즘을 산업 분야에 활용하는 것을 목표로 합니다.
