Fairwell party with Oysters: ‘See you two years after Yong Hwan’ & ‘Bye Kyungshik’
We held a farewell party for Yong Hwan, who was temporarily leaving APBL for two years of military service, and for Kyungshik, who was leaving APBL to pursue new challenges. We drove to Tongyeong, enjoyed a delicious oyster meal, and looked forward to meeting again.

Celebration: Yong Hwan and Kyungshik passed the graduate school entrance exam!
Congratulations! Yong Hwan and Kyungshik passed the graduate school entrance exam for the second half of 2025. To celebrate, we had a delicious meal together at Hanwha Resort Geoje Belvedere. They will start their master’s degree as UST students on September 1st!

Food trip: Visited the German Village in Namhae!
APBL team members stopped by the German Village in Namhae on a business trip for a project meeting and facility tour at the National Institute of Fisheries Science in Namhae. The German Village, where former miners and nurses from Germany live together, had delicious sausages and beer. Cheers to the futures and dreams of APBL members!

Spring trip: Felt the spring in Geoje!
On the way to the National Institute of Fisheries Science in Nambu-myeon, Geoje for a project meeting and facility tour, APBL team members went to see the flowers at Gujorajin Castle. There were many pretty cherry blossoms at Gujorajin Castle, a historically important defense facility. The first picnic of 2025 with the APBL team members was comfortable and enjoyable!

Traveled to Geoje and Tongyeong with Dr. Mertens and Dr. Gu
We had a great time with Dr. Mertens and Dr. Gu for three days. We hope that their time in Geoje was a good memory for them and we hope to see them again at a conference in the near future.
